Hoburne runs seven family-owned holiday parks across the south of England — Hoburne Park at Christchurch, Bashley and Naish on the edge of the New Forest, Devon Bay, Cotswold and Cotswold Reach, and Blue Anchor in Somerset. If you own a holiday home on one of them and want to sell, your first conversation is usually with the park. If that conversation has ended with the park saying they’re not interested in buying your caravan, you’re in exactly the situation this page is for.
Why parks say no
Parks buy stock selectively: they may be overstocked with pre-owned caravans, your model may be older than what they re-sell on pitch, or it may simply not be what they want to carry. It’s a stock decision, not a reflection of your caravan’s real value — the trade market for it is far wider than one park’s sales plan.
What Hoburne’s own terms say
Hoburne’s published ownership FAQs set out the routes the park itself offers: part-exchange before your licence expires, their own trade contacts who may buy at the end of a pitch licence agreement, or removing the caravan — in which case the park arranges removal from the pitch and a disconnection and de-siting charge applies, varying by location and whether a crane is needed. Charges paid in advance, such as site fees, are refunded pro rata when you leave.
Where we come in
When the park’s own routes aren’t on the table — they’ve declined to buy, the part-exchange figure doesn’t work for you, or you’re simply done with ownership — we buy directly. We’re an independent trade buyer: static caravans and lodges of any age and any condition, including models a park wouldn’t re-site and caravans with outstanding finance (settled as part of the purchase). No commission, no fees, free collection from any Hoburne park, and same-day payment by BACS on collection.
How to get a figure
WhatsApp a few photos and the caravan’s details to +44 7770 603800 or call 07770 603800 — you’ll have a free, no-obligation valuation within 24 hours. You can also use the free valuation form, or start with our guide to what your static caravan is worth. If you’re staying on park, we also handle part-exchange situations.
The Caravan Swap Shop is an independent trade buyer of pre-owned static caravans and lodges. We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Hoburne. Park names are used to describe where we buy caravans from owners; licence terms quoted are from Hoburne’s published ownership FAQs and your own agreement takes precedence.
Frequently Asked Questions
Hoburne doesn’t want to buy my caravan. What are my options?
This is the most common reason owners come to us: the park declines to buy because they’re overstocked, the caravan is older than the stock they carry, or it isn’t what they’re looking for. You can still sell it to an independent trade buyer for removal. We value within 24 hours, buy any age or condition, collect free of charge from any Hoburne park, and make same-day payment by BACS — with no commission.
Is there a charge for removing a caravan from a Hoburne pitch?
Hoburne’s ownership FAQs state there is a disconnection and de-siting charge for removing a caravan from its pitch, which varies by location and whether a crane is needed. We’ll talk you through typical costs for your park when we value the caravan, so you can see the full picture before deciding.
Do I pay commission selling to The Caravan Swap Shop?
No. We charge no commission and no fees. We agree a price, arrange collection, and make same-day payment by BACS when we collect.
Which Hoburne parks do you buy from?
All seven: Hoburne Park at Christchurch, Hoburne Bashley and Hoburne Naish in the New Forest area, Hoburne Devon Bay, Hoburne Cotswold and Cotswold Reach, and Hoburne Blue Anchor in Somerset, with free collection from any of them.
My caravan is older or has outstanding finance. Can you still buy it?
Yes. We buy static caravans and lodges of any age and condition — including the older models parks most often decline — and caravans with outstanding finance, which we settle as part of the purchase.
