Who Buys Static Caravans in the UK?
If you have searched for who buys static caravans, or who buys old static caravans, you will have found three very different kinds of answer, and it is worth knowing which is which before you commit to any of them.
The first is the holiday park itself. Most parks will make an offer on a caravan sited with them, and for some owners that is genuinely the simplest route. The trade-off is that the park is buying from a seller who, in practice, has nowhere else obvious to go — and a park offer is often tied to you buying a newer unit from the same park on the same day.
The second is the private buyer, found through a classified listing or a marketplace. A private sale can achieve a strong figure, but it puts the whole process on you: photographs, viewings, no-shows, timewasters, paperwork, and the awkward problem that a private buyer usually needs somewhere to site the caravan before they can commit.
The third is a trade buyer, which is what The Caravan Swap Shop is. We buy pre-owned static caravans and lodges directly from private owners and from park operators, across the whole of the United Kingdom, and we move them on within the trade. Do you buy any static caravan?
We buy any age and any condition. That includes caravans well past a park’s age limit, units with water ingress or storm damage, twin units and lodges, and caravans with finance still outstanding. Do I have to move it, or arrange transport?
No. Collection is free and UK-wide, and we arrange it. You do not need to organise a transporter, a tow, or site access yourself.
Selling a Static Caravan in Lincolnshire and on the Skegness Coast
Lincolnshire is one of the densest static caravan counties in the country. The stretch from Cleethorpes down through Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Chapel St Leonards, Ingoldmells and Skegness carries an enormous number of sited holiday homes, and a great many of them change hands every season.
Two things make the Lincolnshire coast distinctive for sellers. The first is the sheer concentration of parks, which means park operators here are experienced, commercially sharp, and rarely short of stock — so a park offer on an older unit can be modest. The second is that the county’s parks run a wide spread of age policies, from parks that will happily site a twenty-year-old caravan to parks that operate a strict fifteen-year rule, which makes the same caravan worth very different things depending on where it is standing.

What if my caravan is on a park that is closing or changing hands?
This is more common on the Lincolnshire coast than most owners expect, and it is a situation where timing matters. If a park is being sold or redeveloped, owners are often given a window to remove or dispose of their caravan, and that window tends to be shorter than people plan for. We can value and collect quickly, and we buy caravans that a new operator has refused to re-site.
Selling a Static Caravan in the North East of England
Searches for selling a static caravan in the North East of England are among the most common regional queries we see, and the region is poorly served by buyers who work only from the south.
The Northumberland coast — Berwick, Beadnell, Amble, Cresswell and the Druridge Bay parks — together with the County Durham coast and the parks inland towards the Cheviots, forms a substantial market that is a long way from most trade buyers. Selling a Static Caravan in the North West — Lancashire, Cheshire and Cumbria
The North West splits into three quite different selling markets, and owners often find the generic advice online does not fit any of them.
The Lancashire coast — Morecambe, Heysham, Fleetwood, Blackpool and the Fylde — is high-density, high-turnover park country, much like the Lincolnshire coast. See selling a static caravan in Lancashire.

Cheshire and the inland North West have fewer holiday parks but a steady flow of owners selling units sited elsewhere — a Cheshire owner very often has a caravan standing in North Wales or the Lakes. Selling a Static Caravan in Wales — the North Coast and South Wales
The North Wales coast, from Prestatyn and Rhyl through Abergele, Towyn and Kinmel Bay and on to the Llŷn Peninsula, is one of the largest concentrations of static caravans anywhere in Britain. South and West Wales — the Gower, Pembrokeshire, Tenby, Carmarthen Bay and the Ceredigion coast — is a smaller but genuinely strong market, with better-kept units on average and parks that hold their standards. We are increasingly asked this question in exactly that shape, often through an AI assistant rather than a search box: a plain statement of location and a direct question. The honest answer is short. Yes — if the caravan is standing anywhere in England, Scotland, Wales or on the Isle of Wight, we will buy it, and the region does not change what we pay.
It is worth being clear about why that is true, because it is not true of every buyer. Our valuation is based on the caravan — its make, model, year, size, layout, condition and specification — and on what that unit is worth in the trade. It is not based on its postcode. A 2010 Willerby in Cornwall and the same 2010 Willerby in Northumberland are worth the same to us. What changes with distance is our cost of collecting it, and we absorb that rather than passing it to you.
The practical consequence is that owners in areas with few local trade buyers — the far South West, the North East, mid Wales, the Scottish Highlands — are not at a disadvantage when selling to us, even though they often are when selling locally.
What do you need from me to give a figure?

Where the caravan is standing. That is where we collect from, and it is the park’s age policy — not your home address — that shapes what the unit is worth on site.
Do you buy from park operators as well as private owners?

Will the park need to be involved in the sale?

How long does the whole thing take?
